Did You Know?

Did you know, that this rail system will reduce "vehicle miles traveled" in the study area during the peak hour by 0.34% (ESR, p. 5-2)? I think that is just over three-tenths of one percent! That is not a lot of impact in the reduction of automobile miles. For $500 million we ought to at least get 1%!

Did you know, that currently 1.74% of trips in the study area use transit (ESR, p. 5-2)? The UTA refers to this as "transit mode share." With the construction of the new rail line that share percentage skyrockets to 2.28% (ESR, p. 5-2). An increase of 0.54%.
